The
friends of Environment society (F.O.E.) are an independent, non-profit,
non-governmental organization, formed in 1995 and specialized in environmental
education.
Members of the society are Jordanian volunteers interested in encouraging the younger generation to take an active part in conserving and improving their natural environment. The society focuses on encouraging, the private sector to become more aware of its environmental responsibilities.
FOE
is funded by donations from the private sector, individuals, national
and international organizations as well as membership fees.
